Tara Kaufman

When people ask, "So, what do you do?" I always say "I'm just a mom;” however I play many roles. I'm a child of God, a wife, a mom of three, a friend, a daughter, a sister, and somebody who believes in the power of HIS Word, and that God has called each of US for something. Each of us has a gift and talent and it should be shared, and that there is a time and a purpose for everything.  I feel God called me back into teaching when my youngest daughter Hope finished Kindergarten. 

I started volunteering at Holy Spirit School starting in 2010. In 2017, I joined as an aide in preschool. While I am still an aide in the T-TH 3K classroom, as of 2019, I add  M-W-F 3K teacher to my Holy Spirit experience. I could not be more excited to have my own classroom!  

I find my greatest joy teaching children to love and care for one another, while building friendships and learning about Jesus. I have a special place in my heart for 3K because it’s their first encounter with school and I get to be the first person to experience and witness all their JOY in that first year. 

Some of my favorite things to do in my spare time are sewing, riding my road bike, running, reading, and most of all spending time with my 3 children: Ben, Tyler and Hope, and my wonderful husband John.
