Greetings! I am Jeannie Brehmer. “Ms. Jeannie” or “Mrs. Brehmer” around Holy Spirit School. I am looking forward to starting another year here at Holy Spirit and meeting/working with all of the great students, parents and staff!
This will be my fourth year as a member of the school support staff. This year I will be a Preschool 3 teacher aide in the morning and first grade aide in the afternoon. I will also assist in the school childcare program. Starting in January, I will be a Preschool 3 teacher. I will be taking over for Mrs. Kaufman who will be student teaching to complete her special education degree.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from UW-Stout and taught kindergarten and preschool in different schools prior to coming to Holy Spirit. I have been part of the Holy Spirit staff since 2004 and was a teacher aide, a substitute teacher, and a kindergarten teacher during the first few years.
From 2008 until the end of the 2018 school year, I taught Preschool 3 or 4K here. I enjoyed every moment of teaching preschool students. It was wonderful to watch so many young children learn and grow socially, academically, and in their faith. After so many fantastic years of teaching, I decided it was time to slow down a bit!
I live in Darboy with my husband Jim. We have 3 children. Our son is married and they have 2 beautiful girls. I love being a grandma! One of our daughters just started her career as a recreational therapist and the other is completing her art education degree this semester. I am a long time member of Holy Spirit Parish and my children all attended school here - preschool through 8th grade. Being a part of this parish and school community for so many years has been wonderful for myself and my family. I enjoy walking, biking, reading, being outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family.
