The mission of Holy Spirit School is to serve God by providing a challenging academic education within the Catholic Tradition.
Hi! I am Emilie Boots and am so happy to teach middle school science at Holy Spirit which is my home parish! I attended St. Norbert College and earned my B.S. in Biology with a secondary science certification. I continued my education at Marquette University where I studied Neurobiology and worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. I began teaching in 1989 at Seton Catholic Middle School (now St. Mary Catholic Middle School). After my oldest child was born I became a stay-at home mom. In 2007 I returned to St. Mary Catholic Middle School and taught 7th and 8th grade science until 2022. I have experience teaching Earth, Life, and Physical Science and truly enjoy teaching all of these science topics. I value incorporating hands-on activities in science class and look forward to investigating many phenomena with the middle school students. I am also a certified Project Lead the Way (PLTW) teacher.
I have volunteered at Holy Spirit for many years as a pianist, catechist, and school volunteer and am fortunate to know many families in this wonderful church community.
In our free time my husband, Bill, and I enjoy spending time at our cottage especially with our three grown children, Elizabeth and her husband, Tim, Jen and her husband, Andrew, and our son, Ben. We also enjoy traveling, biking, going to Packer games, and attending area sporting events.
I truly value Catholic education and look forward to sharing my passion for science and my faith with the Holy Spirit students.
