The mission of Holy Spirit School is to serve God by providing a challenging academic education within the Catholic Tradition.
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Viterbo University (then Viterbo College) in La Crosse in 1988, and a Master of Arts in Education degree from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN in 1992.
I taught second grade in the Wisconsin Rapids School District from 1988-1995. Following a one-year position at CESA 2 in Milton, I was blessed to become a stay-at-home mom for the next nine years with our three children. From 2005-2012, I was a part time aide here at Holy Spirit School in Kindergarten and preschool. I have been teaching third grade (my favorite grade!) since the 2012-13 school year.
I feel so fortunate to be teaching in a Catholic school! Having taught in both public and parochial schools, I am truly grateful to be a part of Catholic education. My faith has made me who I am, and I love being able to bring it into everything we do in school.
In addition to teaching, I enjoy baking, playing board games, and doing any kind of puzzle. My whole family enjoys camping, so we try to do that at least a few times every summer. Our favorite spot is near Minocqua! I treasure family time, not only with my immediate family, but with our extended families, as well. My favorite activities with friends are going out to dinner and visiting around a campfire. Faith, Family, Friends, and Fun - it doesn’t get better than that!
